It's still winter (I think)
After what felt like forever, we finally got a few days of sun and warmer temperatures. Notice I said "warmer" and not "warm." It was nice this weekend, but temps were still in the 40's, but that didn't stop some people from breaking out the shorts and short-sleeved shirts and rolling down the car windows. Doesn't that always happen? As soon as we get a small break from the freezing temperatures, everyone goes crazy and acts like spring is here. The same thing happens in the summer. As soon as we get a temp below 75, people bring out the sweaters and jackets and turn on their heated seats.
It kind of reminds me of one of the observations I've had at amusement parks. Have you ever noticed that on a hot day, people will do anything to get wet. They'll wait in long lines so they can get soaked on a "river rapids" ride. They'll stand in the "splash zone" of a log flume ride. And some will even jump through water fountains, but as soon as it starts to rain, everyone runs for cover! Weird, huh?
